On a day when the temperature suddenly dropped, coffee in the cup cooled quickly. My friend Nana brewed Pyramid and Geisha beans, adjusting the parameters according to the weather, and the taste turned out to be especially wonderful. Songzi arrived and studied Teacher Dai’s sculpture closely: beneath his feet seemed to be a skull. A little ghost discovered a little ghost. We laughed, thinking that sometimes life is sustained by coffee, and sometimes by moxibustion.

That day, a dragonfly flew in, as if to add the perfect finishing touch to the scene. On the table sat a sharing pot, shaped like running calligraphy strokes. Though small, it flowed like clouds and water, with undeniable presence. Five thousand years of literati spirit pressed deep into the clay—that is the aura of Chinese ceramic artistry.

While the adults were chatting, Songzi walked over on her own, gently touched the fabric wall hanging, and said slowly and with deep feeling: “So beautiful, it’s so pretty.” In that moment, it was more genuine than words.

A tea pouch dyed with plants, a small tea mat woven from tattered old cloth—just enough to hold a teapot or a cup. To share tea with someone is as precious as a pot of aged tea. Someone roasted new coffee beans and shared some with me, bright and rich. Someone said: “All beings suffer, but you taste like strawberries.” We laughed, adventuring through the ordinary days.

There are so many delicious foods, but humans only have one stomach. The autumn light is gentle and tinged with sorrow, like a beautiful woman. Whenever you meet it, it is always the best arrangement.

At Hesong Tea Affairs, utensils are never just utensils. They carry the fragrance of tea, express a way of life, and weave together art and nature. Beyond teaware, exhibitions are often held here with designers—paintings, glassworks, clay, and handmade crafts, echoing one another in the same space. Drinking tea, then, is not only about tea itself, but a flowing resonance between people and objects, and between one person and another.

If you ever have the chance to visit Jingdezhen, China, we warmly welcome you to the Hesong Tea Affairs shop—everything here awaits your own experience and discovery.
